5 from 500 Choral Day

Are you an experienced choral singer and interested in singing some rather wonderful music for a day?

I will be directing a day of hard work and singing at a high level, music by daughter and father Imogen and Gustav Holst. We will be singing the gorgeous Agnus Dei from her A minor mass along with her father’s superb Nunc Dimittis.
As well as that we will sing music by Palestrina (in this his big birthday year) Nigra Sum, Gesualdo’s Ave Dulcissima Maria and William Byrd’s Sing Joyfully

The singers who come on these days prepare their parts in advance so there is no note bashing, just working on the music from the start. I promise you, these days are really rewarding musically as well as socially – all enhanced by excellent refreshments. We finish the day with an informal sing through for family and friends, in the fabulous acoustic of St Mark’s Broomhill

Saturday June 14th, St Mark’s Broomhill, 10.00 – 5.00
