Joined by Helen Gregory, Sheffield Symphony Orchestra present the final concert of the ‘18-‘19 season
Sheffield Symphony Orchestra present the final concert in the 2018-2019 series, and are pleased to present Helen Gregory (Mezzo Soprano) to this evening audience. The orchestra will be accompanying Helen, who is performing Mahler’s Rückert-Lieder, a cycle of five songs based upon the poems entitled Sieben Lieder aus letzter Zeit (Seven Songs of Latter Days), written by Friedrich Rückert.
This evening also includes the orchestra performing selections from Schubert’s Rosamunde, and two pieces by Strauss; Der Rosenkavalier and Death and Transfiguration.
