An Invitation to the Dance

Hallam Sinfonia's 50th anniversary season continues with this programme of symphonic dance music, with their former principal conductor

Natalia Luis-Bassa returns to conduct Hallam Sinfonia in a concert of music based on symphonic dances, and which offers a great way to begin the Coronation weekend! Britten's Courtly Dances from Gloriana bring a royal connection, Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances is a more substantial and exciting work, Marquez's Danzon no. 2 concludes the programme bringing a South American feel inspired by our guest conductor. The concert will last approximately an hour, with no interval.

This concert also forms part of the Hallam Sinfonia 50th anniversary series throughout 2023.
