Be a Chorister at Christmas!
A chance for children to experience being a chorister, singing alongside Steel City Choristers
Children have the opportunity to sing alongside Steel City Choristers in this special Advent Carol Service. If you have a child aged between 7 and 12, they have an opportunity to be a chorister for this event - they will join the choir for some of the carols and anthems in this service marking the beginning of Advent.
Places are free, but numbers are limited. Please book in advance by contacting us on enquiries@steelcitychoristers.org.uk. Children will need to come to rehearsals (accompanied by an adult) at these times:
Friday 24th November 5.00 – 6.00pm (at St John's church, Owlerton)
Sunday 3rd December 2.15 – 3.30pm (at St Mary's church, Ecclesfield)
If you would like to come and listen to the service, please just turn up - there is no need to book in advance for that! The service will include music by Benjamin Britten, William Byrd, Sally Beamish and John Gardner, as well as several favourite Advent carols.
