ABOUT THE ENSEMBLE

The West Riding Ensemble was formed in May 2024 by performer-scholar David Milsom, in response to his twin-desire to perform chamber music with his colleagues and friends, and also to build in innovative and immersive opportunities for gifted students - tomorrow's professionals. The group has two main purposes: to perform chamber music to the highest possible standards integrating students and professionals, and to provide a flexible ensemble for organisations (such as choirs): this flag-bearing event is the first of the 2024-2025 season and is thus our official launch event!

Programme

  • Dmitri Shostakovich: Piano Quintet op. 57
