Part of the Classical Sheffield Weekend 2023

Black Velvet Clarinet Quartet was formed in 2012. The quartet’s repertoire spans several centuries, with music ranging from the Renaissance to the present day. Many of these pieces are arranged especially for Black Velvet by the late Steve Dumpleton, who was a founding member. The quartet performs regularly in both Sheffield and Derbyshire concerts and festivals.
