Classical Weekend 2019 brings more soul-stirring, spine-tingling, life-affirming classical music to more people than ever before. The huge variety of performances and workshops means there’s something for everyone.

Classical aficionados will find lots to love in a line-up that features some of the world’s finest musicians. But this festival isn’t just for those in the know. If you’ve never experienced the magic of classical music before, this weekend is also for you.

Workshops and events will take place in different parts of the city in ‘clusters’ so you don’t need to travel far to experience lots of different types of music.

INFORMATION ON GETTING TICKETS FOR PERFORMANCES ON SUNDAY:

Tickets are now only available on the door at each event. Please allow plenty of time to purchase your ticket before the event starts.

The festival has three themes:

Women in music

Celebrating International Women’s Day on Friday 8 March

Future Makers

Celebrating talented young musicians in our city

Beyond Borders

Celebrating the fusion of classical music with other art forms and different world cultures

* Passes don’t give you access to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra event on Friday 8 March or the Sheffield Bach Choir on Saturday 9 March, but a Weekend or Day pass does get you £5 off the ticket price for these events.

To redeem this offer, please present your pass when you buy your ticket on the door. If you’ve bought a ticket in advance, please present the ticket and your pass on the door.
